I was also able to delete my own password for my novell log on...hope kids can't..But the real issue is I now do not have an administrator for this XP.. How could i redo an admin password. I only have a guest which has no rights.. Paul |

| 97888 | 2002-11-12 02:16:00 | In Windows XP there should be two admin logins - The first user account should be an admin account, and the "Administrator" account. Have you lost the password on both of these, or just one? If just one of them, try logging in to the other admin account. Mike. |

| 97889 | 2002-11-12 04:29:00 | Well done. :D According to "someone", if you boot the Knoppix version of the PC Woerld CD, you can access the NTFS disk of an XP system from that. That might help you save things from that computer before reinstalling. Or on a working system you "might" be able to copy some files to make a valid password for the Administrator account on your blown system. Try a google search for "XP administrator password". You may have more problems with the Novell system. They have security built in. :_| |
