98338 2002-11-13 07:56:00 If I've got NAV installed and a couple of months later I install say Norton Utilities does this extend my liveupdate for NAV, shorten the liveupdate period for NU, or do they both have their own 1 year of free updates individually? :D

Mike.

98339 2002-11-13 08:29:00 I don't think it will make a difference. Well I'm not sure. I always thought that Live Update was it's own thing and would increase the length of updates.

Recently I installed NU and uninstalled it. Looking at how long NAV has left it's the same as it was before the installation/uninstallation of NU.

98340 2002-11-13 08:41:00 Hi Mike.I had NSW with antivirus installed, then a few months later got Internet Security, which comes with NAV too.It asked if I wanted it all intergrated,to which I said yes.The sub date then started from scratch.

98341 2002-11-13 09:00:00 hey mike,
it has always started the subscription over whenever i've added new nortons bits or just upgraded.
you can also just reinstall if your time is running out;)

98342 2002-11-13 09:54:00 I'm sure it was you who reformatts quite regularly.
This being the case, each time you load Nortons back on it starts the subscription service anew ( at least it has for me ).:)
So you could just try reformatting just before the subscription lapses to make sure of this.:)
rads:)

p.s. This is not software violation:D

I'd rather not have to do that :D I just wanted to know cause I had NAV installed, then I got NU and installed that and was just wondering if the subscription period would be updated.
