98781 2002-11-15 05:04:00 I have a fully paid up NAV 2002 sub which expires in May 2003. Had Live Update working no probs until about 4 weeks ago and now I notice that it's not automatically alerting me to updates. Live Update works fine it I manually go fetch etc. (Running XP Home Ed and Office XP Pro).

Any ideas? Emailing NAV's helpdesk resulted in no response.

Thx
Jane

98782 2002-11-15 05:28:00 Mine is up to date to the 13th Nov so it is working.

Have you made any system changes lately to firewalls? Nav itself? Internet setttings? Dial up?.....

Installed any programs that could conflict? Cleaned out registry settings?

The same happened to me. I think it has something to do with downloading Win XP SP1. Ever since I have not received the alert. However, I know it has been downloading. You can check by looking in Program Files\Common Files\Symantec Shared\VirusDefs. The latest folder in their should be 20021113.004 (definitions from 13 November 2002). Did you install SP1?

98784 2002-11-15 10:42:00 I run Win98SE. Had the same problem around about the same time. Things seem to be fine now. For awhile I was downloading the virus definitions manually from the website. My NAV 2001 use to update almost every 2nd day. Then suddenly there wasn't any for about 2 weeks. Seems that updates are available once a week now. Also, I re-subscribed this week ($US14.95). I can't think why it's like this, that's no help to you. I still check for updates manually when ever I log on so I don't miss anything.

Good luck

David

98785 2002-11-17 05:34:00 Thanks Guys
I did ruin SP1 Oxie and I have checked as you suggested and the updates are coming down but just not showing as pre SP1.

David, I too check manually when in doubt!
Cheers
Jane
