98800 2002-11-15 08:47:00 When i click on a link in an e-mail or on a web page, it won't go there if it has to open up a new web page. it looks as if it's trying as an 'internet explorer' minimise box appears in the task bar, but it just sits there with the hour-glass cursor thing turning forever. i've checked that IE is the default browser. i've checked under 'file types' that "URL:HyperText Transfer Protocol" has :"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" -nohome, and that iexplore is in fact in that folder. there are no pop-up suppress programs running as far as i can tell.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
thank you.

98801 2002-11-15 11:03:00 Try IE repair.
Click Start, point to Settings, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add/Remove Programs

On the Install/Uninstall tab, click Microsoft Internet Explorer 5, click Add/Remove, click Repair the current installation of IE and click OK
.
