| 99009 | 2002-11-16 19:38:00 | I'm considering the purchase of this peripheral with either a USB 1 connection on my P4 1.6 laptop or using an optional PCMCIA for a USB 2 connection. Can anybody comment on the possible success given the quoted speed of this external CD-RW is 40-10-40. Anybody with experience or knowledge of this would be gratefully received. | 99010 | 2002-11-16 23:27:00 | You will find there will be 2 quoted speeds for external CDRW's The first will be for USB v1, which will be around 2 x 2 x 6 The second will be USB v2, this should operate it at it's full quoted speeds ..... External's are great if you need a portable device or something to connect up to your laptop ..... I would definitely get the USB 2 PCMCIA card for the laptop though .... |
