2002-11-16 04:58:00 | I foolishly allowed "Office update" to apply "Office 2000 Service Pack 3" and now I can't see all sorts of attachments in Outlook 2000. AAARRRRGGGHHHH how can I undo this 'upgrade' or turn off the security crud. Help!! Mike

2002-11-16 06:09:00 | I suppose my answer will be too simplistic but OE go to tools, options, security and untick "Do not allow attachments etc etc" No doubt your problem is more serious than this but thought I'd give it a go to actually answer a query instead of asking one. Iris

2002-11-16 06:21:00 | Iris, its Outlook, not Outlook Express (they are different programs entirely). I have a nasty feeling its not easily undone in Outlook 2000. Try looking on Google, you may have some success.

2002-11-16 22:47:00 | Outlook 2000 (not Outlook express) doesn't have that option. It may have an equivalent, but I don't know where it's hidden. :-(

2002-11-16 23:01:00 | Mike H, Basically you need to modify the registry settings for Outlook. However why not use a little shareware utility like Attachment Options from SlovaTech (www.slovaktech.com) which will add an extra tab in the options settings for outlook. Cheers, Babe.
