Does one say YES to the box and could this be causing old Win95 to keep crashing. Les 3 |

| 98846 | 2002-11-16 00:45:00 | When dll (dynamic link libraries) files are updated, they *should* have backward compatability. If you reload an old file, it will cause problems when an application tries to call a section that it knows should exist in the dll, when in fact the older version does not support the call. If an application keeps crashing, look on Google to see if it is due to dll compatibility Summary: Always say "yes" and keep the newer file unless its a published fact that there is a compatability issue. |

| 98847 | 2002-11-16 03:34:00 | Godfather, thanks for that. Perhaps the Win95 disk has gone well past it's "Use by Date". Windows boots up okay, always with something new, a "Enter Password Window" this has never come up before. Re-installing Office97 SBE, Windows is now short on OLE 2.0 and it's Libraries. A search through Google and MS brings up a multitude ifs and buts though. May have to try a HDD Format, which will be a new experience. Thanks again, Les 3 |
