Hi Graham L.

When i use the "ls -l /dev/modem" command at the root prompt I get; "lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 11 Now 17 23:00 /dev/modem -> /dev/ttyLT0"

Thanks fro the help.

98944 2002-11-18 05:17:00 That modem link looks OK . Is the module loaded . . . "lsmod" is a useful command here .

Have a look at the link for help with KPPP in FAQ80 .

I don't like winmodems :D

98945 2002-11-18 10:18:00 Neither duz Linux. Particularly LT.

I got Merlins Connextant modem up and running easy as first pop.

You think I could get my own LT to work?

No way ho-say.

Save yourself a hassle and get an external modem.
