Proper intellectual debates without these weirdos breaking into conversations. Yahoo is awful. Msn is childish. ICQ so much stuff! Tried Senior Net and it is all cooking scones and Grand children. Yahoo's Political rooms are full of abuse! All try to out do one another in the obscenity stakes. Is there no place left on the planet where there are sane normal people ! |

| 98992 | 2002-11-16 20:01:00 | ICQ is pretty good when you find the right message client. I myself use Kopete (Under Gnu/Linux) for Jabber and ICQ. If you go to the ICQ site they have a version of ICQ called ICQ Lite. I've only played with it a couple of times but its not too bad. Maybe you should give that a try? If you are looking for a change, you could try IRC :) |

| 98993 | 2002-11-16 20:29:00 | I've found the chatrooms pretty shallow and hopeless too, but Liam's PF1 chatroom (as in JMs link) is a lot of fun. Can't promise you sane normal people, but they are all friendly. :D If you want proper intellectual debates you are going to have to initiate them, but do expect it to break off into some hiliarious off-topic banter occasionally, just like on this forum. ;-) Drop in one night sometime, you might be surprised. There's only one drawback: it's awfully hard to get out and go get some much-needed sleep. :-) |
