| 99239 | 2002-11-17 19:48:00 | Hi, As mentioned in a earlier thread, I want to go ADSL now...going up from 56k Modem.. At the moment i am using a 56k internal modem.. And I dont really know WHAT adsl modem to get, and whats better than others...technically and price... I live in Feilding, definately a jetstream area, still dont know what "plan" i will sign up on.. | 99240 | 2002-11-18 05:47:00 | try Dynalink Modems - http://www.dynalink.co.nz They have a huge range of modems and having used a basic 56K and now a ADSL external modem, I'm very satisfied. | 99242 | 2002-11-18 08:29:00 | Mike, that's pretty weird. Did Telecom tell you directly that you can't get ADSL or was it from Telecom's Jetstream line check test page? As long as you are connected to a jetstream enabled exchange, you should be able to get at least the 128/128 Jetstream Starter ADSL plan. csinclair83, I use an USB ADSL modem from Dynalink (Globespan Chipset). Works just fine without any troubles. Dynalink ADSL modems are definitely not being sold in DSE anymore but I don't know if it's being sold in Noel Leemings or Comptercity. |

InHouse Computers PN Ltd is in 3/709 Tremaine Ave, Phone: 06 3554774 Fax: 3568864. I brought my 56K modem from there earlier this month at $119.00.
