| 99188 | 2002-11-17 03:54:00 | Both computers on my home peer to peer network appear on each others "My Network Places" screens. I can access files on the Desktop (Windows 98) from the Laptop (Windows 2000) but I when I attempt to access files and/or the printer on the Laptop from the Desktop, I am prompted for a Logon Password. The only two passwords associated with the Laptop are the administrator and my own user ones. Neither of them will allow access from the Desktop. File and Printer Sharing is enabled on the Laptop. Ideas Please? |

I can see the Win2000 PC on the network (thru switch), but when I click on it (Win98 PC) - I get - \\server\IPC$ & ask for password - but there is no passsord & no option to type in any names. I can get in on WinXP easily - types a name & password & in like flint. Any help appreciated. |
