99660 2002-11-19 09:09:00 Can anyone tell me if I can check Hotmail using Outlook 2000. There does not appear to be a provision for this?? James From NZL (2567)
99661 2002-11-19 19:51:00 Tools > Email Accounts > Add A New Email Account > HTTP > Service provider = Hotmail, enter all your account details, making sure you are using a secure login. honeylaser (814)
99662 2002-11-19 20:07:00 Outlook 2000 does not support HTTP access to MSN accounts, you can do this in Outlook Express or Outlook 2002 but not Outlook 2000

There is a method Here ( support.microsoft.com) but it is not very satisfactory, you would be better to use Outlook Express

99663 2002-11-19 20:51:00 Thats odd.. I'm using O2000 (just checked) and can do it with no problems. Perhaps it was covered in an Office SP? honeylaser (814)
99664 2002-11-19 21:36:00 You are right Jim B, Honey are you sure its Outlook you are using?? Cant find what you are looking at at all?? James From NZL (2567)
99665 2002-11-19 22:00:00 I'm definitely using Outlook 2000 (help > About MS Outlook). Could have been fixed up by a SP somewhere along the way perhaps? honeylaser (814)
99666 2002-11-19 22:14:00 really weird, even your instructions bear no resemblance to Outlook 2000, they are the same as OE 6.
When you go to help/about/ does it show a version number, i would be very greatful if you could let me know.

Thanks

Not that I know of. HTTP account access was not added to Outlook until version 2002, although it's been available in OE for quite some time.
