2002-11-18 23:36:00 | Hi, I've been wondering... Whats the difference between all the TNT cards (TNT2, TNT, TNT2 riva, TNT2 ultra, TNT2 M64, TNT2 vanta ect) could someone please rank them in order, from best performance to worst. Also, wot are the TNT cards like. Who makes them? Would they be alright for basic PC use (little gaming ect) cheers

2002-11-19 00:32:00 | Made by NVIDEA. I recently purchased - via Trade Me - a RivaTNT/2 Pro 32mb complete with manual & drivers $60.00. AGP slot 4X. Very happy with it & no problems. Again I'm not a "gamer" but needed it for Virtual Spectator. My son uses progs Like Adobe photoshop etc, and no complaints from him so must be OK. nVidia Web site might have details of them all or Toms Hardware guide. Bye

2002-11-19 01:09:00 | firingsquad.gamers.com from slowest to fastest: TNT TNT2 M64 (vanta) TNT2 TNT2 ultra Some had 16 megs, some have 32 megs. Some are PCI/some are AGP. You can stick the word riva in front of any of these names. Just make sure you don't pay more $$ than it will cost for a geforce 2 mx.

2002-11-19 01:36:00 | After a look at their site, noticed they had a performance analyzer. My present sysem is 100%. Changing to one of the following shows performance increase - Geforce2 mx400 166% - GF2 GTS 240% - GF2 Ultra 266% - GF 3 390% - GF 4 534%. Bye

2002-11-19 09:59:00 | I run one of those tnt cards and on using their analyzer I could get a whopping great boost from their GF 4 of 1186%. What is involved in fitting one of these cards, is it easy? I have fitted my own Ram, is it a similar operation? Will one of these cards work on an 800 m system with ME? What sort of prices would I expect to pay for a better quality graphics card?
