99806 2002-11-20 07:45:00 Had this problem before and cured it after re-installing Windows (which of course re-installed IE 5.0).
Have recently re-installed Windows (98SE) again and now it is back to haunt me.
Open a new browser Window, select Hotmail from the favourites menu, and off it goes. Finds the site and brings up the login screen. No problems so far.
Enter email address and password, click Login, screen goes to white as login starts, address bar fills with the usual "780pof%lnfpe8h%aenf%awihf" type stuff, then everything stops - with "Done" at the bottom. If I click Refresh, it keeps going and logs in, in the normal fashion.

Any ideas?

99807 2002-11-20 08:58:00 Hi,
I don't know what's up with that but,
you might have cookie problem. Try this:

Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Click on the "Privacy" tab and move the slider to "MEDIUM" this might solve it.
If not check out the "Security" tab under Internet and click on "Default Level"

Cheers

99808 2002-11-20 09:20:00 Also if you're behind an ad-blocker or some other interception tool you might find the same problem. I used to get that with what I'm using, but I just added hotmail to the bypass list and the problem was sovled. Naraku Kasai (1028)
