| 99820 | 2002-11-20 06:41:00 | Open IE click onto Tools - Internet Options - A box will open box with several headings - click onto Connections - When that box opens go down to Settings. Click on that and when the next box opens go down to Advanced and make sure the two boxes "disconnect if idle for..." and "Disconnect when connection not needed" are unticked. I use xtra and have Windows 98SE Did have trouble with a noisy line that was resulting in my not being able to stay connected. Telecom came out and fixed that at no expense and all has been sweet ever since. So that might something else for you to check out. Hope this is of some use Iris |
