99961 2002-11-20 09:51:00 I have Windows 98.
After running Nortons WinDoctor there is a problem which reads "The active/Com sections of windows registry contain one or more invalid entries. This can cause documents to open improperly, applications not to run, or your computer to crash".
I clicked on repair, the green light appeared and it stated "fixed" yet when I rescan the problem still persists. I have Jv16 Power tools 1.1 and I ran Registry fixer. Problem still persists................help please!

99964 2002-11-20 20:51:00 Apparently its Phoenix. Admittedly its not a final release yet like Mozilla, but that's a risk taken with Beta/incomplete versions. A lot of WinME and XP users found this out when trying to un-install WMP 9 Beta, and couldnt. They then couldnt do system restore because they'd never had it turned on and so they were stuck.
I've experience no problems yet with it. I just run the main exe file, the only thing I'd think it does the the registry would be setting it as the default browser, and that's only coz I told it to. I've pick up the folder and moved it around my HDD and there've been no errors.

99965 2002-11-20 20:53:00 Come to think of it, perhaps it is the default browser associtations. Check in IE to make sure its set as default and to check upon load that it is default too.
Click Options - Tools and have a look around in there.
