100644 2002-11-22 19:24:00 Does Win XP play games like Quake OK or shouldn't I bother installing? Susan B (19)
100645 2002-11-22 21:51:00 Hi Susan, we have or had Quake on Xp home ed. no problems - so you should be o.k to install it too i would imagine.:-)
Sounds like you have got that new computer ;-), i bet you are rapt - no doubt it is probably old news, but i have been sick for a week or so, so haven't checked in much over that time and our computer is getting its upgrade too.

100649 2002-11-23 02:02:00 You're not supposed to play games on computers, Susan. :-( They are for doing important things like: balancing your cheque book, organising recipes, making shopping lists, downloading bug fixes for the operating system, updating antivirus programmes, autodeleting spam, and postring here with problems. With all those things to do, the computer can't spare time for games. :D Graham L (2)
100650 2002-11-23 02:40:00 There is always the option of playing the game in "compatability mode". This can be achieved by right clicking on the game icon (or menu listing), and going to the properties option. From here you can go to the "compatability" tab, and select which OS you want to have the game emulated in.:) raddersnz (684)
100651 2002-11-23 02:42:00 At least it does in Pro:p raddersnz (684)
100652 2002-11-23 07:01:00 Well Quake2 works fine, no idea on how well the original quake will work though. -=JM=- (16)
100653 2002-11-24 21:51:00 I had no Problems running Quake 1 and 3 on XP
Quake 2 on the other hand i ha a hassle to Install and then the game was running far to slow, but thats just my 3D card aint it . . . :P
