100555 2002-11-22 04:29:00 I recently formatted drive C
Now every time I close a web page it empties the cookies folder. (c:\Windows\Cookies) I use IE6. I have set up security and privacy settings as they were previously and have tried the minimum and default settings (Tools\Internet Options) If these were set too high then I would expect to have access problems to certain sites, but I have no problem here, only in keeping the cookies when I close Internet Explorer.

100556 2002-11-22 20:03:00 Are you sure it's your cookies being deleted or is it the entire Temp Internet Files folder? If that is the case, go to Tools>Options>Advanced and down the bottom of the list look for "Empty Temp Internet Files folder on exit" or something and make sure there is no tick in that box.

TweakUI also has a setting like this so if you have TweakUI check it isn't enabled in there too.

100557 2002-11-24 01:17:00 Thanks for your reply Sue. Good thought, but no that isn't the problem. Have reset verything here to default settings. Got me stumped. johnnytrident (2592)
