100986 2002-11-24 20:51:00 Try pressing Ctrl + Alt + the Minus key and it'll cycle through the screen resolutions. Can your monitor normally do 1024x768?

Cheers

100987 2002-11-25 01:28:00 Or as suggested in one of the answers in the thread found with "knoppix" in the search on this page: "Knoppix xmudule=vesa" to the "boot:" prompt. Graham L (2)
100988 2002-11-25 01:53:00 What does that command do?
DId a search for "xmudule=vesa" but it came up with only this!

100989 2002-11-25 02:16:00 A spelling mudule on my part; try "xmodule=vesa". Someone suggested this in the previous thread. (I haven't tried Knoppix ;-) ... I'vwe got linux running). "vesa" is the vesa video standard ... before these modern video cards with GHz processors and GBs of memory. I'm waiting to see video cards with diskdrives. :D

I assume it will come up at 480x640. Ctrl/A;t/+ should step up from that.
