1322318 2013-01-10 19:10:00 Hi all,

Changes to Google/YouTube's "Push it whether they like it or not" big-brother technology means that extensions such as Firefox TubeStop no longer work. Anyone know of a TubeStop alternative that works?

Thanks

addons.mozilla.org

It blocks all flash-based stuff, not just YouTube though.

It doesn't stop HTML5 videos playing though, but you can opt out of those on Youtube :)

Yep. Opera's "Use plug-ins only on demand" takes care of everything that you don't want starting without permission. And you don't even need to install an add-on to use it.

I didn't know about that. Mine must have been off by default, I had to go to about:config and toggle the 'plugins.click_to_play' value to true for it to work.

Thanks
