They run their own build physical servers dont they....., wonder why they dont virtualise them?, 180k physical servers?.... |

What is the point of virtualising them? They'll have as much physical hardware as they can fully utilise, virtualisation won't help that. They could have 360,000 VMs that do the same amount of work if they wanted, but they'd still be constrained by the same hardware limitations on the underlying servers. |

The more VMs, the better the spread of workload, more transactions and therefore quicker I guess...perf/$! I guess the infrastructure is a farm of servers that balance the load...just think out loud. |
