| 1297059 | 2012-08-26 01:53:00 | I am using Windows 8 Enterprise Evaluation on my laptop. The main thing that I do not like about Windows 8 is the lack of the start button with the old style menu. I can see me wiping Windows 8 off my laptop at the end of the free evaluation and replacing it with linux. I downloaded the 8start Launcher but it does not appear to work with Windows 8 Evaluation as I would like it to. :groan: |

While currently I wont be changing the main PC, Windows 8 is a lot faster than Windows 7 even on a lower spec PC,and not to bad to use the new "stat" menu once you learn how to use it. In some ways its easier. I only have the main apps that I would use showing, and the others are there as well, by simply right clicking the start Page, they are all arranged very nicely. Start up speed leaves windows 7 in the dust. About the only things I have added to the defaults is a shutdown and restart button. Simple as , and tidy. |
