| 1296880 | 2012-08-27 09:00:00 | Nope - what she told me was the tablets are smaller, lighter, easier to carry about and the Lenovos all come with a clip on keyboard, that turns them into basically a laptop. Sure the iPads have the same sort of add-ons, but over all the tablets are proving to be far more productive and easier to use. What I wrote came from her words, they have done a truck load of testing and tablets won over laptops in most cases for the work that's being done. One company I do work for, they have both iPads and laptops. They use the iPads for doing displays with their customers , but when doing "paperwork", they use the laptops back at the office. At the end of the day, both have their uses, both have good and bad points. Will be interesting when W8 Tablets come out, esp if they have the touch screen apps, and the desktop underneath. Best of both worlds I guess.From what I have read, W8rt will have metro only, and won't run desktop apps at all. These are the ones being priced to android and apple tablets. The W8x64 tablets are going to br priced around the ultra book range according to MS |

I'll look at whats going, and if another name brand, Samsung, Lenovo or who ever can produce whats basically the same thing to do what I want, at a cheaper price then I'll get it. As I have mentioned before, NO ONE has yet to prove beyond any doubt that the Apple tablets are better than their competitors. In fact the opposite has happened. I've dealt with enough iPads and Android tablets to know what I prefer. In fact soon we'll be getting a couple of lenovo's, ( may wait till W8 comes on them, we'll see) and being able to get them from one of my suppliers, with Android I can get two and still have change left over an iPad. |

Apple can get st*ff*d which are stupid imo. They are all evil evviiiillll! www.youtube.com call it a monolopy when the cellphone market had been alive and kicking for 20 plus years before the iphone came out, not apples fault if other companies weren't doing anything new. MS had a full 10 years head start in the tablet business, Samsung had a tablet before apple but nobody noticed. |
