1296850 2012-08-26 10:48:00 But then again macs are more expensive, so why would you get 'The most advanced operating system' to use windows lol. sahilcc7 (15483)
1296851 2012-08-26 10:52:00 Buying a mac with the intention of installing a different OS is the height of stupidity. All it achieves is even worse value for money. Metla (12)
1296852 2012-08-26 11:00:00 Buying a mac with the intention of installing a different OS is the height of stupidity. All it achieves is even worse value for money.Quite right Metla, installing windows on any hardware will devalue it plod (107)
1296853 2012-08-26 11:07:00 Operating systems are the biggest non-event since.....well, rounded corners on cell phones. Metla (12)
1296854 2012-08-26 11:34:00 Yeah no one in the world wants Apple products it's not like they completely own the digital music industry and have 73% market share in the mp3 player market along with a 66% share of the tablet market. I can't imagine anyone ever buying anything apple has made. Since my post as quoted in this reply, I'll reply back -- being sarcastic does suit you sorry.

As I originally said I can honestly say I have NEVER purchased any apple product and have no intention of doing so.

NO one has yet been able to prove without a doubt that ANY apple product is a "must Have" and nothing else in the world can do it better. Theres always some other branded device that can do the same if not better.

Want an example -- Take my ipod compared to a MP3 Player that I have for a fraction of the price. Has the same capacity, battery lasts 3 times longer than the iPod, the quality of music is better on the cheaper one.

Simple FACTS:
Do Apple products Fail - yes
Can a Apple OS corrupt and fail - Yes
Does it usually cost more to repair hardware on a apple product - Yes
Are Apple products generally more expensive than the competitions - yes

So as far As I'm concerned, while apple does have some nice products, no one has yet to prove why apple is better, except they are experts at being able sue the pants off anything they dont like. ;)

My gold plated butt-plug business is being sued by Apple.

Apparently they have a patent for overpriced crap for ********s.

1296856 2012-08-26 13:21:00 Oh come on please -- what a load of rubbish.

It's not what the individual does who measure the pros and cons like yourself.
Look at Joe and Jane public. To be honest I haven't seen the sales data but my believe is that if you put all the brands by itself against each other ... that is don't group Androids together - break them down by device brands.

Sure, you could have a Corolla 2.0 or a Holden/Ford V8 but the attraction for some is a Saab or Mercedez coupe for the same everyday task. Except that in this case a $1,000 device is a lot more affordable coupe motor vehicle.

IMO you groups of diff targets. Not that you necessarily need it but. There is one that is fashionable. Another might be more about performance like the Samsung SIII - never used or trialled but that's the general view. One also might but just to get the "necessity" job done so maybe a $300-400 one. One driver maybe a white color corolla, a holden V8 or maybe it's a Euro or a Toyota Primus - all for the purpose of daily commuting.

1296857 2012-08-26 22:47:00 If I hadn't already sworn off apple junk, then this would make me do so.

Same here.

My take on the Verdict is the judge (or whatever ruling group) was an Apple cult follower.

1296859 2012-08-27 00:12:00 I think it is clear - anyone that knows half a thing about technology will tell you that Samsung > (Cr)Apple.
Stink decision by the Judge. I too + 1 Strommer's post.
