Their computers would be the only thing I could think of, they are slightly more expensive than most other computers in a similar market. It's called premium pricing, something you can get away with if you offer a remotely unique product. As for the forcing you into using on their parts/peripherals im going to disagree. They aren't any worse than their competitors.

I can't say I've seen Apple claim that they have invented anything either, they use the words "created" and "revolutionary" a lot but they don't mean invent do they?+1

1296832 2012-08-26 03:52:00 To me, most people out there in the real world want a Apple product. Sure you have stuff from other makes who tries to differentiate like the Transformer device or more features etc .. For me the Pad is going to be general consumer device, if I needed the control I would have a laptop or a PC. It is really is about taking to the coffee shop or other people's places and sit in the lounge with it. People like designs and good looking stuff. If you went on a trip and you had the option would you choose a 2 or 3 star hotel instead of a nicer place. Nomad (952)

Your essentially saying everyone should like an Apple because you do. thats not the real world, thats your world.

Nah, Apple are pissed off they didn't think to take his idea, market the hell out of it, claim it as their own, make billions and then use the profits to constrict every other wheel manufacturer.

of course, these other manufacturers can still make wheels, they just can't look like apples wheels, with their rounded corners and stuff....

1296835 2012-08-26 04:21:00 Yes. And no one will say why they hate Apple. Some say Apple is crap
but give no reason for the statement?.

Apple would have us all driving on square wheels....

That aside, everything Apple make is available in a better package, at a better price, with better performance, and less restrictions from other manufacturers, all thats missing is the apple wank factor, which is essentially what twats pay for....thinking its something special.

And thats what apple fight to protect, Not their ideas (which they have never had) but their only strength, sheer wankiness.

1296836 2012-08-26 04:33:00 My personal dislike for the apple fiasco comes from the fact that it is automatically assumed better . . . just because as well as their restrictions/proprietary behaviour .

When it comes down to it there is nothing really wrong with apple . It's just that some (not all) people tend to just want an iDevice .

I know a lot of people who go oh I want iPhone!!!
Why? You ask .
Because AWESOME they reply .
But what does it improve on over your current "dumb phone"?
*blank stare* . . . . because . . . its . . . an iPhone?

This is the mentality that irks me, it's fine to get one because you need data/navigation on the move, have an iPod (easy manage your current music) etc etc but the fact most people just want one like some fashion accessory kinda makes me a tad annoyed . The fact that people try to force people from android to iPhone annoys me too . All they end up doing is comparing the droid to an iPhone, finding its faults and hating it . I prefer to inform others of the options and letting them make up their mind .

"Touch Screen"
I believe I saw and used a "Touch Screen" in 1988 at Expo in Australia. Was apple even around in 1988??
While certainly not as sensitive as todays devices, apple is trying to get a world wide patent for this.
I don't doubt for a minute that apple have some leading edge products, however as stated in my 1st comment,
I will not be purchasing any of their products as a personal choice.
p.s. My wife "LOVES" her i-pad

Also to point out apple did offer to license these patents way back in 2010 prior to them taking them to court, even wanted to cross lice nse with Samsung. In the deal offered Samsung would have been up for $0 per device
