1297302 2012-08-29 22:15:00 I've rung a forensic data recovery place, and from my test I'm now pretty confident that the audio is still there and is recoverable. $250+GST was the quote I was given.

Thanks Bryan—I hadn't thought of radio stations, might try those tomorrow.

That seems very cheap for data recovery, a bit too cheap ??

Just in case, make some images of that CD, so if it turns to custard you will at least have something.

This might be worth a try ??

from the website:
Just finished burning CD or DVD, only to find out that some files appear to be corrupted or inaccessible?
Power went out, while recording data?
Added a new session to your CD/DVD and lost old files?

Do not worry. DiskInternals CD and DVD Recovery, as the name implies is a software solution capable of recovering data from CDs and DVDs, including multi-session ones

Good luck with him trying to do that, when everything he puts the CD in won't recognise it.

Not a very auspicious start to matrimonial bliss Dave; penny-pinching about US$39 to retrieve the record of the happiest day of somebody's life (usually the bride's father). Even if you end up spending the $250 it is still worth the cost, trust me! I'd do it now, otherwise you'll be paying for the rest of your life.

Mrs T ('gods' bless her and all her attributes) still reminds me of certain events on our wedding day that did not meet with her 100% approval. This after 25+ years I might add, and I get my failings recited in chapter and in verse, with technicolour highlights even (if a migraine is induced).

They will forgive you almost anything right up to the Altar, but as soon as the about-turn is signalled, they take that literally and all bets are off.

I wish I was joking, but I'm not. :crying

Cheers
