Of course its still there anyway (norton) & still has to be uninstalled This is a business class laptop. The whole point of Win pro is that it can be connected to a Windows Domain Server That implies the IT dept will be setting it up & connecting to the domain .It dept will have their own software they need to install, not all this pre-loaded rubbishI have setup a dozen Probooks (mostly the i5 4530S model) over the last year, the latest one on the 15th of this month and yes they were also "business class" as you put it with Win 7 pro, so please dont say "nope, not on a probook" because you are talking rubbish. |

| 1297256 | 2012-08-27 22:33:00 | Was it the old 4530s? The 4540s and the actual business models are a lot better | Greven (91) | ||
| 1297257 | 2012-08-27 22:59:00 | yes, last years model, I have had a good success with them, no returns, a good solid machine I have found. Exeed are now selling the 4540S model, hopefully they are as good as their previous model, they have good specs with Intel Core i5-3210M Processor, AMD Radeon HD 7650M Dedicated Graphics, 8GB (2X4GB) DDR3 1333MHz, 750GB. Corporate Cons and The Laptop Co. may still have a few of the old 4530S in stock and being last years model, they are price reduced which makes them pretty attractive to clients. Only thing I didnt like about the 4530S is that they install the 32bit Win 7 as default, but at least they supply the 32bit and 64bit media. My opinion only. |

| 1297258 | 2012-08-28 00:01:00 | It doesn't effect large companies with volume licencing deals like mine. The first thing they do to a new PC is wipe the hard drive and install the standard company software. The Disks that come with them get filed away in a cupboard somewhere and forgotten about. | dugimodo (138) | ||
| 1297259 | 2012-08-28 00:03:00 | because you are talking rubbish. Pull your head in mate. Our company sells alot of Probooks as well. They ARE still full of crapware. This is what HP promised NOT to bundle into their new machines. Full stop, . Quote "no more crapware" , not you get given a choice, or you can uninstall it. |

Full stop, . Quote "no more crapware" , not you get given a choice, or you can uninstall it.To Clarify, you said Alt+F4 to stop the HP crap from installing doesnt work on a probook when it does (as I have done it many times as was suggested to do from my supplier) so you were wrong as I said. So "pull your head in mate" is pretty much uncalled for. Getting back on topic. As HP's now bundle MSE and not Nortons, your "BRAND NEW" laptop I suggest is not so new and is likely to be existing NZ stock which might be up to a year old. In fact my supplier still lists software on their "new" models like WinZip Basic; Evernote; Adobe® Flash; PDF Complete Corporate Edition, Skype etc which is no longer shipped on their "new" range of laptops from what I can find out on HP US. So my conclusion is that your whole rant is probably uncalled for as well. I'll reserve my judgement on HP crapware until I actually get a "new" HP to setup - which I doubt will be this side of Christmas. Have a happy day :) My opinion only. |

| 1297261 | 2012-08-28 01:58:00 | I use WDS to drop images on top of them anyway, but as already stated, they arent that bad nowadays...MS essentials instead of Norton and of course MS Office 2010, thats about it apart from the software for the apps, Webcam, DVD, support & updates etc... | SolMiester (139) | ||

Those 4530 (SB) probably had the old images on them....I got a Probook 65xx (dockable unit) this month and it didnt have all that much crap on it.... |
