1321780 2013-01-07 06:47:00 I've posted this before, it sounds cookie but it does work(at least for me). Get a beer in a can, bigger the better, drink it, neatly cut the top off, cut around the bottom except for 10-15 cms. Opposite the uncut section on the base cut the tube part of the can vertically top to bottom. Now spread the cut open and shape into a parbola, as close as you can,. Place this behind your wireless aerial central to the parabola, pointing in the direction you wish to increase the signal. This arrangement goes through at least three rooms to give me a good signal in our lounge on my Nexus 7. Prevoiusly the signal strength was so low as to be unworkable. Try it first, its cheap, but may save you a lot more, and if didn't work at least you got a beer out of it. PPp (9511)

No go for the N12U as Chill suggested. It is the currently most reccommended model. With modems more expensive does not mean better.

1321785 2013-01-07 09:33:00 To be honest I'm not sure how to find the status page, have a look through the Web GUI of it.

As CliveM mentioned, stick with the N12U :)

1321786 2013-01-07 10:09:00 also... use 2.4ghz as 5ghz has about half the range. Slankydudl (16687)
