| 1296793 | 2012-08-26 09:47:00 | With Vodafone I waited oh what 3 seconds before I was talking to someone and that was on a Saturday night don't know if any of the locals would have been around at that time and the issue I had was sorted over the phone and the connection will be made once the connection team start work tomorrow. I had thought of going to telecom but I don't like them very much and try my best to avoid them and Voda had a deal that suited us much better |

| 1296794 | 2012-08-26 10:58:00 | Have been quite lucky with Telecoms of late - I complained to them about the starting problem (initialising the the modem when turning ON) and you know what, they suggested me to buy one myself and they are happy to reimburse me. Resulted in getting $189.00 credited to my Telecom account. I don't even have to return them the Technicolor 852N wireless router. This Technicolor 852 is pretty good othen than it takes a long time to initialise. Good on you Telecom! |

What a laugh - the message they give: McAfee, (which Xtra are peddling at the moment) Have put out a update that kills the internet connection completely. Now Xtra in their wisdom have emailed all their customers and have advised of the problem and how to fix it. BUT with no internet, you also have no email, ( no friggin kidding) ;) so you cant get the email - now that's clever lol , and theres over an hour wait to talk to someone :D Lol McAfee update that cuts out the internet is enough of a joke. |

There's no need to turn it off, so the initialisation time shouldn't be an issue... unless you think you might save a couple of kilowatts overnight... |

| 1296797 | 2012-08-26 21:45:00 | Yeah, I know that it won't really costs much to run 24/7 but I just don't feel comfortable leaving it ON when no one is using it! | bk T (215) | ||
| 1296798 | 2012-08-26 22:23:00 | I've not had a good chance to really abuse a TG582n, only the TG585's and the TG789vn, would anybody like to donate one to the cause for a few days? I'd happily do a full video blog / recording of the whole thing :D | Chilling_Silence (9) | ||
| 1296799 | 2012-08-26 23:25:00 | Telstra weren't too bad. I moved on the 16th of Aug to Taupo, (rang them on the 14th to kill the BB / transfer it and the phone). BB was back on, on the 19th. The only thing they forgot to tell me, was they had changed the username / password (back to the original username / pw, when I joined TC). So, I could get back on the net.. I could see (on the 21st, that the ADSL LED was on (on the modem), but the internet wasn't. I rang TC on the 21st, that's when I was told that the username / password was wrong (I thought it was wrong ), because when I logged into the router, it was saying authentication failed. And when I went to check my email, (on the 21st), TC had sent one giving me the details (the username / password) Last time I moved it took 10 days for everything to go to the new address. So, it was faster than before |
