Although the Galaxy S has been shrunk a little in the image, it's still pretty damn similar even from a hardware perspective. Imagine them with the screen off... Believe me, I know, I've owned BOTH devices for over 9 months each. Front on they are very damn similar.

Well, yes, granted. They both have a screen and are shaped like a rectangle, so I suppose they are similar. Doesn't make me think the design was copied though. What's damning to me in that photo is with the screens being on - the icons with the box around them do look copied, and I have no beef with Samsung being done for that generation of TouchWiz

I think Samsung's software (only for that generation of touchwiz) copied Apple. I do not think that having device shaped like a rectangle with a screen on the front means samsung copied apple. Oh, and to rule out bias - I have an iPod touch 4th gen, NO samsung product.

Dammit Chill I was about to post this: photos.appleinsider.com specifically the top 2 phones, the other two (esp. the one on the bottom left) don't have that blatant chrome/metal rimming that the Galaxy S does.

The amount of those damages must be adequate to compensate the patent holder for the infringement .

in had the infringement not occurred, but in no event may the damages award be less than a reasonable
royalty .

IIRC, that was from Apple's evidence. Meaning they picked Samsung devices that looked least like the iPhone to show in the 'before' section. Credibility = none.
