1475333 2021-03-02 18:28:00 Child abuse.

Certainly is if that is a Tattoo.

The irony is the child looks to have very little Maori blood. :(

1475334 2021-03-02 19:09:00 There are heaps of stick on tattoos available. I don't think a tattoo artist would do that on a child whether the reason be law or ethics.

Ken ;)

1475335 2021-03-02 19:49:00 Reading the storey...

So, kid was upset because lazy teachers & daycare couldnt be bothered to learn how to say her name.
Mahinarangi , Just far too long a name obviously
Allegedly , wheres the comments/statements from those accused ?

But, did the kid REALLY care , or was it just parental outrage ?
Many of us have long names shortened , its hardly a big deal .
Robert = Bob
Richard = Dick or Ric
Steven - Steve

1475336 2021-03-02 20:00:00 More maori bashing.
It's obvious it's face paint.

And being a cultural thing she can have what she likes on her face....anyone fuss with butterflies and such? No.

I certainly hope you're right Ken, but I can't say I share your faith in Tattoo Artists. ;)

Depends on the maori. They are meant to be earnt, if tattoos.

That was my understanding too, but it now strikes me now as quite the opposite.

Exactly! Not what some bloody adult feels she should like for the rest of her life.

She had no say in it, real or otherwise.

Cultural my arse, at that age it's child abuse until she is old/mature enough to decide herself.
