1470148 2020-07-08 18:11:00 I have a DVD, two 3 1/2" hard drives, and two SSD drives that I want to put into my computer case with a clear side so I can see my CPU fan. I look on amazon and I can't see or figure out if they are some cases that I can buy to fit my needs. I don't want to spend more than $100. I don't want to buy a case and find out it won't work for me. What a mess that would be. lostsoul62 (16011)
1470149 2020-07-08 18:38:00 Amazon? Buy here in NZ.
All you need is a motherboard that will support more than 5 drives.....Which most ATX will and most MATX won't.

As for the case, there is usually enough drive bays...stick with mid tower or tower, no mini cases.

1470150 2020-07-08 22:03:00 Plenty on trademe at VERY cheap pricing .
Used cases arnt worth much , so can get good deals .

Perspex windows are just a novelty, theres no need to see the CPU fan. Look at the monitor , not the fan :)

1470151 2020-07-09 03:23:00 Yea, it's well known that if you watch CPU fans for too long your eyes will start spinning and you will fall off your chair. linw (53)

1470153 2020-07-09 04:58:00 The Silverstones have a Few , you want a Mid tower, as they usually have two 3.5" bays where as mini tower only have one.

Clear sides are cosmetic only. Be careful though many new cases dont actually have options for Optical drives even though the bays are there. ( pop out panels or Opening doors.)

1470154 2020-07-09 06:41:00 clear side so I can see my CPU fan. .

I just realised you said CPU fan ...
I have a clear side, but the case has fancy bits and coloured case fans etc.
The CPU fan is the most boring part in it.....why see that??

And be warned, you need perfect cable management if you're going to see the insides. Nothing worse than seeing a jumbled mess.

1470155 2020-07-10 00:51:00 I went silly with mine, expensive case with a tempered glass side, RGB LED hidden round the edges, RGB 14cm rear exhaust, and dual RGB fans on the tower air cooler.
All cycling through the colour pallet slowly. Total waste of money for silly pretty lights. I love it.

Had one like that last week, it was a gaming PC, lights and all the bells and whistles, had to leave it running overnight while doing some tests on it, The damn workshop was looking like a Christmas tree with all the flashing and changing lights :D

LOL. Yes, mine has green case LEDs, so keyboard had to match (the backlighting). Mouse cycles through the spectrum.
Unnecessary but cool.
