2020-06-25 01:51:00 | I set up the above, it says my phone is linked to my PC, but I couldn't access any of the phones photos, text, etc. Don't know what's wrong! Just couldn't get it to sync.

2020-06-25 03:16:00 | You have to open settings on your phone, open Apps, then open App permissions, find and open Your Phone Companion and give it permission to share what you want otherwise sync cannot happen. | CliveM (6007) | |

Thats the same with Win. Just plug the phone into USB port (more or less) MS's app also " allows you to see up to 2,000 of your most recent photos, view notifications, send and receive text messages, and make calls right from your desktop." Because we need to make ph calls from our PC's :banana |

2020-06-26 02:04:00 | I've always skipped that option on setup. Never saw the point. Texting from the Pc might be easy I guess, but who cares. There was / is ? a samsung app that was supposed to do the same thing between laptop / tablet / phone a few years ago (or maybe it was just android) that I played with but I could never get it to work and there ended any interest I had in such things. If the phone is right there I'll use the phone.

2020-06-26 03:11:00 | The OP was I believe talking about the Win 10 "Your Phone App" not connecting his phone with a USB connection which is a quite different system. Lets not confuse the issue. | CliveM (6007) | |
2020-06-26 03:50:00 | thought I'd try it on my phone, Android,. The Your Phone was already installed, followed the instructions, lets say at the beginning the Computer wouldn't find the phone until the Bluetooth was enabled on the Ph. even though on the same network, all permissioned turned on, After finally finding it, similar thing, after a LOT of mucking about, way more than anyone should have to do, Finally found the Ph, could even use the computer to make /receive calls from the Ph, BUT the sync -- kept on erroring couldn't find the Ph, once it did, started to sync ( or so it said) then just as quick lost the connection again. So yeah looks like its unstable, I would say more to do with the ph. than the PC as that syncs with other devices fine.
