2020-06-17 01:24:00 | Is Spark's unlimited Fibre Unplan throttled? Anyone here with this plan?

2020-06-17 02:45:00 | Not as far as I can tell, on Unplan entertainment myself.I always use enough data to hit the maximum charge, but it's still cheaper than my previous plan. | dugimodo (138) | |

We might also have to pause, restrict, end or slow performance of your service if it’s necessary for us to protect our networks or manage traffic over our networks." "18 . You need to use our services fairly – we’ve set out our rules on this at clause 2.6 of our General Terms " |

2020-06-17 03:42:00 | Not as far as I can tell, on Unplan entertainment myself.I always use enough data to hit the maximum charge, but it's still cheaper than my previous plan. Questions: 1. Am I right to say that, if you use more than the max data, say 120GB, you will not be charged more than the max amount? 2. Did you experience any 'down time' when changing over from your old plan to your new Unplan? 3. Did you sign up online or spoke to a real person to arrange for the change? 4. Did you get a new modem/router? Cheers.

2020-06-17 04:10:00 | 1. correct, the charge for 120GB is the most you pay 2. No, was seamless from my end 3. Changed my plan online myself 4. no but I was already on a similar spark plan so no need. Also note the first bill tends to be a bit high due to whatever sorcery they use to figure out how much of the month was on the old plan and how much on the new. It seems to make sense if you go through the bill but somehow always seems to cost a little more than either plan for that one month.

2020-06-17 04:14:00 | Its all on the website , though not that easy to find. "If youre on Unplan over fibre, the amount of data you can use isnt capped (though youll be charged the highest price tier if you use in excess of 120GB a month)." 2) Yes, Ive seen that happen. Spark & Chorus not communicating with each other & not keeping the customer informed of whats happening . Ive seen ASDL/Landline disconnected too early , leaving customer with nothing as fibre not activated. 3) I spoke to a real person . They were going door to door , signing people up . 4) Yes I got a new Spark router. I had to pay for courier charges only . The new router is optional , you can opt out & get your own . The new routers are supposedly much better than what Spark used to hand out . My Fibre still isnt connected, despite me signing up in Dec .

2020-06-17 04:33:00 | Thanks, dugimodo and 1101 for your info, very much appreciated. 1101, which brand and model of router you got, (you only paid for the freight, right?) Huawei HG659B or newer model?

2020-06-20 00:57:00 | Ordered my Unplan Fibre Max online. Scheduled to connect on 23 June 2020. Hope my change over transition is smooth, with no or very little down time. That's a quick install. I ordered mine about a week ago. Chorus coming to scope it on June 24 and install on July 07. Going to be interesting as Chorus has only put in the ducting and no fiber in our street. The guy next door has had two Chorus people out to do his and both have gone away without doing anything. The side streets have all been done as you can see the guide stalks pocking out but there's none of those in my street. I think it was forgotten about when the level 4 lockdown happened.
