Ive done this with my failing RC Lipo batts I guess being underwater they are smothered & safe . Lithium batts dont need any air to burn, thats why they are so hard to put out . They can generate their own oxygen when ruptured/overheated etc . You need to smother the flames (eg with sand) , but will still be reacting . |
