1474557 2021-01-18 00:08:00 I'm thinking about a new wall oven and one of the possible retailers is Magness Benrow. I know the name but I've never had anything to do with them.
Has anybody got reports (good or bad) about dealing with them?

This is where I wish it was possible to edit the thread title. It should of course be "Any opinions on Magness Benrow?

1474560 2021-01-18 01:22:00 I always look at how long independent traders (Trotters?) have been in business. If this crowd has been going for 75 years then I'd assume they were pretty good. allblack (6574)

1474562 2021-01-18 04:32:00 I wouldnt buy whiteware and tv anywhere else because of the cool ads. Last time we bought a washing machine there John himself was there and I begged him to bring back Flossie. prefect (6291)

Certainly mixed reviews there, but I'm not sure 6 are enough to make a decent sample in either direction.

1474565 2021-01-18 06:09:00 Reviews of anything need to be viewed with a degree of scepticism. People are more likely to give a bad review when something is wrong with an item than a good one when everything is all okay. Just to confuse even more it is much too easy for a less than honest outfit to manufacture or to purchase as many reviews as they desire. CliveM (6007)
1474566 2021-01-18 19:00:00 I ignore buying reviews. What matters is after sales service.........so I concentrate on those instead. And obviously you don't get that unless there has been an issue and you go back to retailer.
I'd go with them.....CGA means you're covered, even if you do have to mention it strongly to the manager....
