101304 2002-11-25 04:21:00 Hey Bruce - or - Robo

Is it true that we are all going to get a Xmas present with our Xmas PC World magazine this year?

BALDY:-)

101305 2002-11-25 05:38:00 Are you talking about >>FFWD?

I've got some pretty neat things to give away. Just a bummer that I am not allowed to enter. I did try to make the entry form a $20 note but Paul knocked that on the head.

Cool things. An iPaq, LOTR and SWEpII DVDs, some games, heaps of cool bits.

Some other stuff elsewhere, too, I believe.

101306 2002-11-25 05:49:00 When is FFWD coming out and what is the Audio Equipent section like? Baldy (26)
101307 2002-11-25 06:18:00 Is out already with Unlimited for subscribers. Not sure about newstand sales. Will be in with PCW in December I think.

Audio section? Means nothing to me, as just doesn't light my candle.

Anyone else seen it yet?

101308 2002-11-25 20:37:00 The best Xmas present we could get from PC World is a separate January edition . It's pathetic that we are locked into an eleventh month year.

We shouldn't have to spend the new year reading Australian magazines as well as flying their airline!

Grim reality is that advertising pays a big chunk of the bills, and it is almost impossible to get a decent bit of support for January.
Also, we have to take a holiday some time.
Thirdly, we do normally have a bumper issue in December, larger, more to read, etc.
It would be nice to have the 12th issue, but even the Listener misses an issue over Christmas.
Maybe we could create one on F1? Put Tweak'es news together with some OT stuff.
Anyway, it is very nice that you want another issue. If we could convince the advertisers that everyone wanted it to read and make massive amounts of purchasing decisions in January it could be feasible.
You could keep >>FFWD to read for January, perhaps?
