101225 2002-11-25 22:49:00 I did the things you told me Ruth but it mad no differance, disk clean up still doesnt work for some reason?:|

This next suggestion modifies your system registry ... please be careful and note my comment regarding backing up the registry BEFORE doing the change.

Click START | RUN and in the run dialogue box enter REGEDIT and press return

In Regedit navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion\Explorer\VolumeCaches key

Highlight CompressOldFiles (or Compress old files) in the left hand pane and press delete. Answer YES to the confirm deletion. Close Regedit and restart your PC. Have another go with Disk Clean.

NOTE: It is wise to back up your registry first. Within Regedit rightclick on My Computer (at the very beginning of the registry) and click EXPORT and save the registry file on your harddrive appropriately.
