2002-11-26 08:54:00 | Has anyone installed Google Toolbar? What are the pros and cons of installing this utility software? Cheers

2002-11-26 09:44:00 | I have never used the toolbar, however I have recently change by default search to Google . Your default search is the Microsoft Explorer button on your explorer tool bar . It usually goes to MSN search, which is generally unhelpful . Go the following site to make Google you default search . So when you click search on the Explorer toolbar it will now open Google instead of MSN . I believe this is very helpful! . google . com/options/defaults . html" target="_blank">www . google . com (I hope this makes senses it has been a hard night!)

When installing the Google toolbar you also have two installation choices, private and another which takes stats or something for google, your choice which one you pick of course. Of course you could also have instead a shortcut on your desktop to the google page. |

2002-11-26 19:06:00 | I use it and install it on most machines that I tweak. Otherwise your average tends to whack in any old text in the address bar and then get into MSN land. Google search way better and less invasive. robo.

2002-11-26 23:15:00 | Hi. If you're paranoid about online privacy as much as me, I'd avoid using it - every use of it reports back to a database. Small deal of course, but having a bookmark to google.co.nz on my browser's taskbar means I'm only ever one click away. One pro of going to the site to do your search, instead of having a Google Toolbar, is that you get to see the super-cool Google graphics whenever they recognise a special day! It only reports back if you have installed the version that reports back . Google DOES ask you what variant you want when you do the download . Pretty sure I am correct on that . I paid attention when I initially installed my GTB . BALDY:-)
