| 101569 | 2002-11-26 07:54:00 | G'day Is there a way of installing a new HDD and transferring the entire WinXP from the current drive to the new one without having to reinstall everything from scratch, and without having to go through the product activation crap? I've had so many reinstalls due to WinXP being unstable and frequent crashes that MS is probably paranoid now and thinking that I'm installing it into multiple computers! I even had to call MS once to reactivate WinXP!! So any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks Boon |

Copy an image of your current hardrive to new drive, remove old hardrive and set new drive as master. Both programs come with copious instructions and wizards, Both retail for around $150 to $180. | the highlander (245) | ||
