| 101546 | 2002-11-26 06:40:00 | Just reinstalled modem software, but now the PC speaker stays on all the time when connected to the Net. Ive looked everywhere, switch the PC Speaker OFF in Volume Control. But for the Life of me, I can find the switch to Turn Speaker Off after connection to the internet. WinXP Home edition. Help please ...Im going deaf... |

| 101547 | 2002-11-26 06:47:00 | This is usually the result of incorrect drivers being installed for the modem. Have you downloaded the drivers from the manufacturers website, specific for that modem under XP? |

| 101548 | 2002-11-26 09:28:00 | Hi John,I think you could try putting M0(thats m zero) in the extra settings of the modem.If I remember correctly that turns off the modem speaker all the time or M1 turns it on low(I think).Try it and see Peter |

| 101551 | 2002-11-27 08:03:00 | I tried everything, all the suggestions, the only fix was, replace the card with ASDL which we are now running. I think there was a fault on that modem board, Ill know sooin, as its going into another PC, see what happens then. Cheers....John. |
