101462 2002-11-26 02:22:00 After upgrading to SP1, when ever I start "Add/Remove Windows Components" under "Add/Remove Programs", a error occur:

Setup was unable to open information file msmqocm.inf
Contact your system administrator. The spectific error code is 0x2 at line 2011777033

The application could not be initialized

I don't have software such as "Style XP" install so it must be the missing files problem

Thanks

101463 2002-11-26 02:29:00 Have you removed MSN Messenger from your system? honeylaser (814)
101464 2002-11-26 02:42:00 What that program got to do with this?

And which version of Messenger are you talking about?
The one originally shipped with Windows XP (Called Windows Messenger version 4.7.0105) or the new one called MSN Messenger version 5.0.0540.

The answer is I have installed both messenger program but it's not the problem isn't it?

101466 2002-11-26 02:57:00 No, that no what happened
Mine "Sysoc.inf" file have the comma is it, but instead of removing the word "hide" invidually by hand. I have use the following command"
Choose Edit / Replace
type hide in the "find what" box, and leave the "replace with" box empty.
click "replace all"
and then the "cancel" button to close

And mine problem isn't about removing Messenger, is about getting the "Add/remove windows components" diagloue box work!

101470 2002-11-26 08:24:00 Just restore your sysoc.inf, from the backup you made before the global search and destroy.
