If so how do I get into safe mode...?:|

101399 2002-11-25 21:05:00 Are you trying to run a file such as ntoskrnl.exe ??

If so, you cannot, this file is run by the system at boot-up, and must be exchanged with the existing one using safe mode (F8 at startup)

Also do not play with this type of file - exchange process unless you are happy to lose all data, and reinstall your operating system from scratch. The file is a critical component of windows xp.

101400 2002-11-25 21:09:00 Application cannot be run in Win32 Mode leads me to believe you can only run the program in MSDOS. I don't think I've ever booted into MSDOS mode using XP. You could use bootdisks to do it but you won't be able to read any files if you've formatted your drives in NTFS.

It's quite odd for a program made for XP to not use Win32 Mode. I guess since the program sounds like it's for changing bootscreens that you couldn't change it because the screen would still be in use.

You could try Safe Mode. When booting and the XP loading screen or if you are multibooting at the multiboot screen press F8 and you should get a menu of things to do.
