| 101895 | 2002-11-27 06:55:00 | Hi folks, Can anyone please tell me how to solve the problem of Windows 2000 remaining connected well beyond the 'Idle time before hanging up which is set for 5 minutes. Our computer doesn't hang up until 15-20 minutes after become idle. The IHUG status>Properties>Options tab>has 'Idle time before hangup set to only 5 minutes.' The delayed hangup is annoying to others attempting to use the phone. We use Windows 2000 to dial out on this network of two computers. I suspect this happened when I installed ZoneAlarmPro, which works very well. I have watched Zone Alarm pro's flashing lights icon causing the system tray network & dial-up connection icon to flash as I am waiting for the computer to go off line. It does this several times and then suddenly the system tray network and dial-up connection seems to flash ahead of the next flash that ZAPro is about to make and at that moment the computer goes off line -as expected but 10 -15 minutes later than expected. Thanks,Rusty |
