If you want intelligent suggestions for purchasing decisions, make it a bit easier on us if you want useful answers. For what it's worth, I 'm guessing you want the one with Firewire, USB2, ATA133 RAID , Lan, and Six channel Sound. If it exists. Logically, if they don't have one that has all the features, get the one that fits the best and slap a few cards in. I wouldn't put in a USB2 card, would want that on the motherboard if it didn't cost the earth. Can't Ascent offer some advice from their own experience? robo. |

The new nVidia nForce 2 chipset has shown to be the best preformer for the Skt A platform put currently there are a only a handful of board avaliable . With the boards currently avaliable I would be inclined to either purchase the Asus A7V333 or Epox 8K9A+, both boards can be brought with ATA133 Raid, L . A . N, 6ch sound, and USB 2 . But the Epox board doesn't come with Firewire . The Asus board uses the VIA KT333 chipset and has proven itself to be one of the fastest boards using this chipset . The board uses up PC2700 RAM . The Epox board uses the newer VIA KT400 chipset and offers slightly better preformance than the Asus board . This board unoffical supports up to PC3200 RAM . Another plus with the Epox board is it allows the multipliers on Athlons to be increased without modifying the processor . If you intend to overclock this could be very helpful . P . S Both boards use DDR RAM, just assumed since your buying a new PC you would be using DDR . |
