| 101805 | 2002-11-27 00:39:00 | I have a problem which I have found difficult to find a solution. I had a Matrox G200 Marvel installed in the AGP slot of my Intel Celeron motherboard. I have just recently bought a Leadtek Geforce 2 MX400 card. I took out the G200 and replaced it with the Geforce card. Booted up (Windows XP Professional). And installed the new graphics drivers. I did notice it didn't come up with found new hardware. After installing new drivers, rebooted and checked the display properties. The Adaptor was set to VGASAVE and the monitor was set to a generic one. Checked Device Manager and it had 2 entries with the ! sign on it. One was my new Geforce card and the other was saying an Unsupported Device. Deleting these and restarting the PC did not fix the problem. Tried to enable the Geforce driver and it came up with an error about a conflict. Un-installing the drivers did not fix the problem. I even tried to update the Intel AGP drivers, but the software said the OS is managing it fine and it doesn't need updating. The machine is NOT in Safe Mode. Any suggestions from anyone? |
