| 101737 | 2002-11-26 23:56:00 | RealPlayer security fix is faulty "The problem is still out there now," Litchfield told us this afternoon. "There's no working fix nor any workaround. My only suggestion would be not to use RealPlayer (if you were paranoid enough) until a working patch is available." read more here (www.theregister.co.uk) |

| 101738 | 2002-11-27 00:13:00 | Thanks for the valuable info Tweak'e. I stopped using RealOne when it took a life of its own and kept trying to "ram rod" its way into being my default player. BALDY:-) |

| 101741 | 2002-11-27 00:28:00 | Are you saying MS products don't have any security problems and Windows Media Player is safe? Realplayer is no worse than any other. Blame MS for their inability to design a secure operating system. www.pcworld.com Windows Media Player Flaw Puts PCs at Risk Security hole in media player's antipiracy feature could allow hackers to access your computer. |

MS have had a few holes in mediaplayer that they have fixed which is better than reals latest effort. personally i don't use either. but you still need the codecs to be able to use with another player.(and very few other players support real codecs :( ) |
