| 101860 | 2002-11-27 04:54:00 | I'm using Mozilla for my email. For some reason it has recently stopped allowing me to open attachments (e.g. Word, Excel, etc). I can save them to my hard drive, but cannot open them directly from email. Any advice (step by step instructions for "dummies" please!) welcome! Thanks Anna |

Go to Edit/PreferencesNavigator/Helper Applications If word is there select Edit If it is not there Click on New Description of Type: Microsoft Word Document File Extension: doc Mime Type: application/msword Click on Choose, you must now locate the executable file that runs Microsoft Word. More likely than not, this file is named winword.exe Hilight it and click OK |
