| 102103 | 2002-11-28 07:08:00 | I am unable to print from Word or Quickbooks 2000 as the following errors are shown: Microsoft Word - "Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup." Quickbooks - "Could not print to printer. Check your printer selection. Printing may have been cancelled from another program." I have reinstalled printer driver, Windows 98SE, and Quickbooks 2000, and no success. I think the Registry may be corrupted. Any suggestions Cheers Chris |

| 102104 | 2002-11-28 07:18:00 | Chris X, Have you looked at the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article Windows Cannot Print Due to a Problem with the Current Printer Setup (support.microsoft.com) this may help in diagnosing your problem Cheers, Babe |

| 102105 | 2002-11-29 09:21:00 | Thanks for the lead, Babe, I have worked through the options listed in the above article, and can print from DOS and from Windows provided I print direct to printer. However if I select the "Print to Spool" option it will not work (either EMF or RAW). I am still stuck any further suggestions? Cheers Chris |

| 102107 | 2002-12-04 08:32:00 | Well Babe, I found the answer, my "Printers" folder in my "Spool" directory was corrupted. Deleted the old one and setup new folder and everything is sweet. Took me a while to identify the problem, but was a quick fix once I found it. I think my hard drive is packing it in, so I will Ghost it to a new one shortly. Sorry it has taken a while to get back to you but I was unable to login into PF1 for a few days. Tried resetting my password and still wasn't successful. Finally I have just got back in under my name ( not a quest any more) Thanks for your advice as it helped me focus my attention and eliminate different options. Happy Computing Cheers Chris |
