102098 2002-11-28 05:53:00 I can download video in MPEG and MPG from Kazaa and they run fine. I can watch them and save them to CD's, etc, but when I try to download AVI files I can't play them at all. Any ideas? waynecarp (883)
102099 2002-11-28 05:59:00 You need to get the right plugin. They are probably DIVx files and you need the right one to be able to play them. Big John (551)

102101 2002-11-28 06:41:00 Avi files are encoded using the Divx codec. Go here (www.divx.com) and download the standard divx software without the Adware.

When you install, choose an advanced install, and install only the codec, not the DivX Alpha Player... now when you double click the avi file, you will get sound and picture playing on Windows Media Player.

102102 2002-11-28 08:25:00 We are quite lucky over here to get away with Copying, downloading of Music/movies thru Kaza.

The danes legal arm snapped up IP address of Users, went to ISP with court order, got info on those ppl and guess what....all the ppl got fined $16000...Ohhh and you get discount of 50%, :D if you wipe all the existing copy righted material from your PC!!!
